Cubing4Everyone allows users to delete their account or delete their app data.
This page explains the difference between these options, what happens to your information, and how to get help if needed.
1. Delete Account
If you delete your Cubing4Everyone account, we aim to remove your account and associated data from our active systems.
This generally includes:
- your account record
- your profile information
- your profile photo
- your cover photo
- your solves
- your sessions
- your personal bests
- your mains
- your WCA ID
- your linked social profile URLs
- your follower and following relationships
- your block records
- your app preferences
- locally stored offline data that is cleared as part of the deletion flow, where supported
If you have locally stored offline data that has not yet synchronized, and you delete your account before synchronization happens, that pending local data will not be uploaded to our servers.
Limited Retention
In limited cases, we may retain minimum necessary information where reasonably required for:
- legal compliance
- safety
- fraud prevention
- abuse prevention
- dispute resolution
- enforcement of our Terms or policies
This may include limited moderation or report-related records where necessary.
2. Delete Data
If you do not want to delete your entire account, you may be able to delete your app data instead.
Delete Data removes all account data except your username/handle record that is kept as the minimum identity anchor for the account.
Delete Data may remove:
- solves
- sessions
- personal bests
- mains
- profile information
- profile photo
- cover photo
- bio
- place of origin
- current place of residence
- WCA ID
- linked social profile URLs
- follower and following relationships
- block records
- reports submitted by you, subject to limited retention where reasonably necessary for safety, abuse prevention, dispute handling, or legal compliance
- app preferences
- local cached or offline app data, where supported
If your personal bests are derived from solve history that is deleted, those personal bests may disappear or reset.
3. How to Delete Your Account in the App
If account deletion is available in your version of the app, you can delete your account by going to:
Profile > Legal & Support > Delete Account
You may be asked to confirm your identity or confirm the deletion action before it is completed.
4. How to Delete Your App Data in the App
If data deletion is available in your version of the app, you can delete your app data by going to:
Profile > Legal & Support > Delete Data
You may be asked to confirm the deletion action before it is completed.
5. What Happens After Deletion
After account or data deletion:
- some information may be removed immediately
- some information may be removed shortly afterward as systems update
- public profile information and shared data may stop being visible once deletion is completed
- replaced or no-longer-used profile images should be removed from active storage when no longer needed
- limited retained records, if any, are kept only where reasonably necessary for the purposes described above
6. Synchronization and Offline Data
Cubing4Everyone may support offline use for certain features.
If you delete your account while offline data is still stored locally on your device:
- that pending local data will not be uploaded to our servers
- local data may be cleared as part of the deletion flow, where supported
If synchronization occurs before deletion is completed, the most recent valid sync state may apply until deletion is processed.
